HammondCare Daw Park
Moto Projects were engaged by HammondCare as Project Manager and Superintendent on a brownfield redevelopment of a site adjacent the SA Health Repatriation General Hospital, into a purpose-built dementia village.
The design is based on the cottage-style model of care, with accommodation and service provisions for 70 residents, the design includes 6 single storey bungalow-style cottages for between 6-15 residents, built around a central park and plaza, with good access to private and public landscaped outdoor spaces.
Other facilities include a small community centre and store, general laundry, and hair salon. Also included in this project is refurbishment and upgrade work to an adjoining administration building that houses HammondCare staff.
